Hi, I’m Jan, founder of Chroma Sparks.

For over 15 years I’ve worked with metal, developing bespoke patinas and finishes that celebrate depth, texture and unpredictability of real materials. Much of my work is driven by experimentation-layering oxidisation, heat, abrasion and chemical reactions to create surfaces that feel rich, vibrant, atmospheric and completely unique.

Every project is personally developed and overseen by me from my workshop in Bristol, whether it’s metal artwork, a feature wall, kitchen door fronts, or bespoke interior surface. I care deeply about detail, balance and creating pieces that feel refined, timeless and made to last.
